Here we will go through different terms for domains.
The TLD part of a domain is the last part of the domainname. If you look at a website for example www.needanewdomain.com you will see that the TLD is COM.

Every domain ends with the TLD (Top level Domain).
The TLD can be either a GTLD or CCTLD.
GTLD stands for "Generic Toplevel Domain". The most common GTLD are .com, .net, .org.

We also have CCTLD which stands for County Code Top Level Domain.
A CCTLD could be for example .us (For the US), .se (For Sweden/Sverige).
